Second, I know life gets in the way of our time and creativity, but it has been some while since this updated. Is there any chance this little gem will be continuing, or have you had to drop it?

Third, I'm with Hemione; it is difficult to see Snape in another setting, but I can also see him wanting a complete break and setting up his 'new you' in a place without the constant reference to what he had once been. I can imagine Severus is finding the idea of ending whatever it is they have the biggest problem with the change, though!

Everyone is going to have some sort of prejudice towards Sev, regardless of his role in the war, and honestly, Hogwarts is a total waste of his talents, and he seems to loathe teaching.

I can't imagine Hogwarts holds any good memories either. A fresh start sounds great.

I hope that Severus will do more than "inform" her of his decision. If I were in her shoes I 'd feel offended/ let down being just the English "stress reliever", that will probably be replaced by an American "stress reliever". Casual or not. I do believe that both still need to heal and that they may be hesitant to agree to obligations, but that doesn't mean that they don't need true and loyal friends with whom they can be open. If he leaves Hermione behind - then I hope that he will experience loneliness and learn that freedom is being more enjoyable if shared with a special someone. And that you can't find those people just like that everywhere.

I loved this chapter! Everything about it. I think Severus should take the job. To be honest, I think it would be a strong possibility for Hermione to leave the country in the end too. Somewhere else where she wouldn't be the "golden girl" or some such. Where she could be just Hermione and where she could be with just Severus. Then nobody would think about Severus and Lily, nobody would think they know them, just because they read an article about them. I think they would be happy somewhere else together.
I'm absolutely looking forward to the next chapter.
