This probably one of the best AU’s ive read. It’s not overly complicated and I find that refreshing especially as i mainly read 100k crossovers

Damn the way you write fluff is vert enjoyable to read. Hopefully since their fight is over, we can see more Harry and Hermione fluff even more. Also, seeing Harry is gonna pretend as Fabian's boyfriend, I really want to see a jealous Hermione lmfaoo. That would be a joy to read.

Idiot! Why could he not leave a note? Really didn’t like the way Petunia was calling him “boy”! But a fab chapter, nonetheless!

This chapter was brilliant! Loved the 007 references, the glimpse of Teddy and Andromeda, the motorbike scene and the musings over their feelings!

This was a lovely chapter! I loved Before Sunrise and the sequels and this so reminds me of one of my favourite films!

As everyone here wont to agree, Fabian is that one crazy best friend anyone want to have. He's gay, he's witty, he's charming, he's loyal, basically, he's perfect friend (or cousin in Hermione's case here) one can have.

How do I love this story, let me count the ways… (Here’s looking at you, Elizabeth Barrett Browning)

You two ladies are completely knocking this one out of the park! I will be completely honest with you in that when I first read the synopsis of this tale back when the first chapter was released, I was concerned about the concept of them only seeing each other once a year and was completely afraid that I’d read chapter after chapter in which they’d meet up - as another year or two or five has gone by - where they ignored the elephant in the room and would part ways once again, unknowingly pining for each other (I had this stubborn thought in my head that I want them happily together while they’re still a bit youthful, damnit – and still do! Haha). I’m glad I was wrong, because everything fits. Nothing feels forced and with the last chapter, it seems as if time may be slowing down as the overall tone of the story is shifting towards a different focus.

I absolutely love your Hermione in this story. I believe her thoughts on marriage, wanting children, worrying about her aging and still having that hope (albeit now a miniscule fraction of hope that Harry had a part in shrinking due to his prior antics!) of experiencing an undying requited love rings true to her character, and OMG – the scene in which the anvil dropped where she stumbled upon Harry using magic in her kitchen? I don’t think I’ve laughed at something quite so much in a long time – her liberal use of “fuck” and “fucking” etc is just too good! I love her internal monologues throughout the story and appreciate the little details you’ve thrown into her backstory (her relationship with Fabian, her Grandmother, the nickname of “bunny” that perfectly fits what kind of family nickname she probably would have had because of those damn teeth). And it appears that as of this last chapter posted last night, she may one day get that happy ending to her story that she so desperately yearns for.

Your action and mystery scenes regarding what Harry is up to with his job are also written quite well and I’m intrigued as to how this will all relate to the overall arc of the story as Coffee_Reveries mentioned on the board that there are plans in store and with Hermione in tow, as someone who specializes in research and history of different cultures, the possibilities of what she may be able to bring to the table are very intriguing. While she cannot do magic (…which I’m even worried about saying because honestly who knows – I know that she’s a muggle here, but I’m making an assumption that she was born without magic and/or it just didn’t manifest like it did in canon), her brilliant mind may be able to link things together with the artifacts that Harry hasn’t pieced together himself.

While it may not be in the cards for you both to write, I can only imagine how Hermione meeting the Weasley clan (Ginny included) as Harry’s girlfriend would go – there’s so much potential for comedy, angst, etc that it’d be almost too hard to pass up putting it down on paper. While I’ve spoke about Hermione getting her happy ending, may I say that I hope Harry finds the ending he yearns for as well? I’m a firm believer that Harry has always been a people pleaser (I mean, look at his relationship with Petunia in this story – despite his maltreatment from her as a child, he still tells Hermione that he looks past it because she’s the only family that he has) and while him working for the Ministry and basically doing their dirty work because that’s all he knows how to do (feeling that it’s his duty warding off evil, fight the bad guy, etc) I hope he realizes that deep down beyond the magic, the fighting, etc that he yearns for a family of his own (…and who better to help him with that than Hermione?). I’ve always pictured at least in canon, that one day, Harry would come to his senses and be selfish – no longer wanting to do Auror work and realizing just how much he’s given to everyone else without ever asking for anything in return, and settle down and enjoy being a husband and a father first and foremost with any form of employment being an afterthought.

Did I mention I’ve enjoyed catching up on this story? :-) Might I also add, I really appreciate the lengthy chapter updates – I know that a lot has to go into planning for something like this – even your descriptions of the locations that Harry and Hermione have found themselves in throughout this story must have been time consuming! In all, if you can’t tell, I’ve enjoyed this story quite a bit and am so glad that I picked this back up this past week. I’m really looking forward to what you have in store for these two and hope that they both find that happy ending that they both crave so much. Thank you for all of the updates and sharing this with all of us!
