truthfully I think both her and Glossaryck wanted this to happen; If anything Star's endings would usually end with Her and Marco, but I think Glossaryck saw multiple ways for it to happen and all had positive results; all the other queens only stayed on 1 path, but Star's was pretty much a different direction; its just my guess; Glossaryck didn't really seem to mind magic was destroyed (Or sent back to where it originated, in my opinion based on what I saw in season 3 ) and though was shocked by star's choice, still approved - She's probably the only Butterfly whose paths had multiple roads but all ultimately brought her and marco together whether earth and mewni fused or not or if Magic was destroyed or not, while he himself would go back to the beginning to make sure Star would achieve her goal of bringing peace together in the multiverse.

Beautiful story

Hekapo is still one of my favorite character. Assuming magic is really gone, I'm going to miss her. (I'm one of those people who think magic is gone just yet.)

To be honest this rather fits and makes events make more sense in the long run.
