Not bad. I've gotta say this has to be one of the top SanoxKen Stories I've ever read, A for originality too.

I hate Kaoru, too. I think Kenshin would only be with her because society expects it of him. But as far as having somebody to be a lifelong companion, someone he wants by his side all the time, Kenshin would pick Sano. And vice-versa.

I have no words for this except that I really love your work on it. It was well-written for a one-shot!

I read this before, a while back (well, more like years, but I digress) I never reviwed then but I will now!

I think it was cute and sweet. I really liked the old seer, she seems kind and strong. I believe Kenshin would confront somehting like that too. Nice way if keeping the same speech patterns too.

And yes, I really don't like Kaoru. Yeah, she can fight pretty well, but I still don't like her! I seriously thought they should all have stayed behind when he went to Kyoto. Tehy don't understand him at all... *grumbles* ...making it harder for him... *keeps grumbling*

So, yeah! I personally think Kenshin should remain single, but better a fighter than a weak woman! lol. Nice fic overall

well, maybe it was a sort of cheesy way to get the info on the table, but I like how Kenshin's first concern was to preserve the friendship, before he even thought about the hot monkey sex that might ensue... and even though Kaoru *would* probably get mad, I don't think you did her justice. I'm not a big K/K fan, but I like Kaoru as an individual character. One thing

I keep wondering about is when Kenshin says "I. . . one time I was very close to another, and perhaps if he had lived we would have become companions, but. . . Lay with a man you would as if with a woman? I have not." Did you just make that up or are you referring to a character we know? Someone who's dead now but who Kenshin was close to in the past... hmm... maybe Okita, I've seen him paired with Okita before... maybe Takasugi... not Katsura, he's still alive... who knows? Well, except you of course, since you wrote it.

This was absolutely beautiful! The best one of this pairing I have yet read!
