Just a tiny little mistake, if I remember correctly, English isn't your native language, so no problem there, though I would point that mistake out lol :D

Really liked the 'butterfly' effect, and I can't wait to see Haruno's and Hachiman's interactions!

About the last statement of chapter 16...

Hikigaya Hachiman won't even do what MC is doing. From the very start.

He is a coward, he is a hypocrite. That's for sure. And his internal monologue is a mask expertly crafted, just to mask him from HIMSELF. Yes, his actual motive was to think of a world where everyone rejects him and he becomes a loner of some sort, just to shield himself for the future interactions with others, as he was paranoid of ridiculed and being left out once again. Yes it is true to some extent, but it wasn't the same in his High School. His inner kindness and good will came out automatically during his time with Service Club - it was involuntary... people would see the good in him and actually want to interact with him, enjoy his presence... but his mask wasn't that fragile.

It was so strong that he was convinced that it WASN'T a mask, and his response to the stimuli (I mean the requests he had to solve, the advances of Yui, any requests of being friends) became corrupted. Just because of his way of thinking.

That's where the things went downhill. He did realize where he was wrong, way later. And that too, was nothing except tragic.

"Actually, if it's cold and cruel, if the genuine thing is filled with only sadness... then it's not something I want." - Hikigaya Hachiman, in the Season 3 Trailer of Oregairu.

He will accept that his wish was unattainable because of what he did and will become the same person he was at the start of his High School, yet again. I think that's what is going to happen. No one can endure that much of regret and sadness. Only the companies of the ones who care about him would give him consolation, but not without guilt.

This is how fucked up the situation is (not to mention his mind too, all because of his past experiences), and the name "SNAFU" for the anime is justified.

This exact mask won't allow him to do the stuff MC did in this story. So, I think, (This is COMPLETELY my own opinion and don't think I'm telling you to accept this) the statement is itself ill-defined.

That's why I can't help but read this story while thinking MC as MC, not Hachiman.

Btw, the stuff is good, let's see what happens later.
