A Marine I work with said that women had such a pick of men in the Marines that some women would literally come in to the barracks and ask for one to order and get an eager feller matching that description tumbling down the stairs ready to take her out. We thought he was kidding at first.

OMG! Such a well written and refreshing new story. You have a fan in me and I hope to see a sequel in the future. You’re a very talented writer.

Oooh, sounds like the General may have some interest in her getting a job at Rangeman. I wonder if Ranger or someone there at Rangeman is under investigation? I absolutely LOVED the 10 minute stare-off competition, and how Steph continued to fluster him by not bowing to his good looks, etc. and just kept walking out on him. Priceless.

Loved the end of the diner scene when Tank, Bobby and Lester were coming in the door as she was going out and the compliment they gave her, along with the salute. That was excellent.

I would LOVE to see this continued in a fuller length story. Yeah, I'm a diehard Babe and would love to see them end up together, but it sounds like if you decide to take this further, she may be working undercover at Rangeman and that would seem like a betrayal to Ranger, unless she was there saving his ass, finding a mole or someone working for him doing something illegal, thereby saving his company.

Loved how she left Joe (and I bet he didn't have any lemons to shower off the stench). Not only did she save Morelli's a$$, she literally saved his a$$... by killing Ramirez when he was attacking them. I bet he's getting a ration of sh*t from all the guys because Steph solved his case and saved his bacon, as well as turning him in at the police station. Loved that scene.

Excellent beginning. I really hope that you continue this later. I love your writing.
