I loved this so much. Like I literally loved it so much with all the little details you wrote in...Jay watching Hailey clean the rifle, the hand thing when she was in quarantine, the things Jay was thinking of when Will was talking about seeing the person you love nearly die, Jay worrying in the beginning...Gosh, so many good moments! Ones that we deserved to see in the actual crossover but sadly we got little to no upstead. I will forever be a little mad about that but this fic makes up for it 10000000 percent! And the fact you wrote it from Jay's pov, it was so perfect! I'm not very good at writing male perspectives but you killed it which is good because I love reading it from Jay's point of view and Hailey's but Jay's is more uncommon I think. Oh my goodness, I could talk forever and gush over this fic and never get tired. I loved it so much! Please, please please do more of these episode inspired fics because you are so talented. And I love anything with upstead! Okay, I'm gonna go read this like 15 more times...

What if in 7*04, Hailey is the snipper when Jay is required to cut himself, what if the knife is already infected by the bacteria, and what if the shot comes later than Jay sprays on his wound and Jay ends up in ED?
