Ah! Dear Riene, you wrote a delightful story. I wept tears in your earlier chapters; poor Erik. You made us bleed inside for him. I loved your early portrayal and growth of Christine. It rang true. Thank yoyu. I have really enjoyed the whole story.

I wish they’d stop blaming Christine for not loving Erik at first. It’s so irritating because it was never her fault to begin with. I know they’re both dealing with their own shit but that emotion is the one bubbling at the front. Grrrr.

So many things happening in this chapter! I’m frustrated for Erik that he keeps running into obstacles concerning his birth and trying to prove his existence. Can’t the man catch a break? But then again, I think I’m still a little angry at him for the way he went about proposing marriage to Christine. And then he avoids talking about what happened. Grrr! That man is so frustrating! And uh oh! Luigi better watch his back! The Opera Ghost is starting to put the pieces together. That’s one enemy you don’t want to have!

I'm willing to bet that these "rumors" that are flying around have been started by Luigi. And now, unfortunately, Christine is feeling the pressure of everyone scrutinizing her every move. I wonder, though, why she just didn't tell Madame Giry and the managers that the money for the flat came from what she received from Raoul's estate. It's really none of their business anyway. But then again, these were different times, and the last thing they need is another scandal-especially involving the same girl that had a part in the last scandal. So I can kind of see their point, too.

But Erik. I would have smacked him, too! He just can't seem to learn how to be patient and let things unfold naturally, can he? And Christine. She caved to his demands rather quickly. Is it because she's starting to feel more toward him than she's willing to admit? Or is it because what the managers and Madame Giry said is weighing heavily on her mind, and she's choosing to deal with that the quickest (but perhaps not the smartest) way possible? She's gonna get burned...

I’m glad that the gala night went off without a hitch, and the Christine and the rest of the cast enjoyed the success they all worked so hard for. And dare I say it, are things starting to finally warm up between Erik and Christine? Let’s hope so. I can only hope that Erik puts an end to Luigi’s meddling, and soon!

My absolute favorite part of this chapter is when Christine turned around and bitch slapped that dirt bag Luigi. Go Christine!

I know Erik has good intentions and is trying to come up with a way to help her find a place to live, but I have to wonder how Christine feels about his manipulation. On to the next chapter to find out!

First Raoul dies and Philippe blames his death on Christine, and then Christine goes missing. What are you trying to do to me?! I’m just relieved that Erik found her with little effort. And d’awwww! He got to return the favor and take care of her like she took care of him.
