A lot happened in this chapter... wow. Ui's sudden shift in personality came off as a bit out of character at first but I found myself being fine with it by the end of the conversation. Sawako's interference hasn't always been the most effective and that stays true here. Hope Yui can help the girls come together as a band soon!

An interesting first chapter, setting up potential conflict (Yui and her parents), and a look into the clubroom in the days after the festival. Overall the best written K-On! story I've read on this site so far. Looking forward to the next few chapters!

You’re really damn good at leaving just enough unresolved and hanging to hook interest while still resolving points from earlier. You also inject bits of levity too which keeps any point from getting too heavy which I like. Also the characterizations are spot on imo, though naturally rather different from canon what with the heavier tone of the story. The parts of the story that reflect canonical events like Azusa’s breakdown are also wonderful touches. I really liked how you had Yui describe everyone as doing what their hearts tell them to do, because in the end they’re all really just doing what they believe is best for them all. Wonderful work, and hope you stay safe what with the current state of the world
