It’s just, considering how obsessions were being built up for ghosts, I thought Vlad’s mind would have taken a very dramatic turn. That he’d do something that meant a big problem.

But I guess that means I forgot about the human aspect and the complexity of personality.

Bravo. Wonderful characterization. It's be interesting to see a new, positive direction for Vlad. Hopefully that takes a good turn for Danny too. You did terrific writing this one

Wow this was great! It's awesome how Vald will be changing and I got to say I'm really happy again how you establish that Jack did visit Vald while he was in the hospital. A lot of stories that I come across just says that he abandoned him and I always hated that because that is not what Jack is like. With how much he cared about Vlad in the show he wouldn't just abandon him. Now I wonder how he's going to tackle Valerie next. Without Vlad Valerie will never get the suit (then again I doubt Danny's going to have her lose anything this time) so will Danny be giving her some equipment? Anyway thank you again for this chapter and please keep safe.

I haven't caught up in a while with this myself because I've taken a bit of a break from fanfiction to read books. Wow, I know, me reading books instead of just reading an unhealthy amount of fanfiction? What? So yeah, hence my late review.

Anyways, the chapter. I liked it, but really most of it just felt like setup to me. But it's understandable given how you have to start somewhere. I am very curious to see how you'll work out the kinks of the situation to unfold. Will Vlad actually end up being more of an ally this time around? Will Danny's parents be able to reconcile with Vlad? Who knows, it'll probably be a while before I find out though. But I'm sure you already have an idea of how to let it play out!

I like the way you have portrayed Vlad. If he somehow gets better though, will Danille not exist in this AU?
Also, the way Danny acts in this chapter is very mature, do Maddy and Jack not notice? Or if they do, how do they explain it to themselves?

20. Sam

I am a little dismayed that Danny feels compelled to have documentation that he has turned his work in because some teachers would try to deny he turned in assignments.

I also think it is an interesting point that although Danny should “know better” how much his perspective was influenced by his parents. I have always had difficulty with the Clockwork character and enjoy the insight you bring.

I am also quite tickled that you talk about the disasteroid’s unnatural speeds. I was beginning to think that I was the only one to notice. [shameless plug: I used this idea in a drabble posted under Drips and Drabbles].
I liked how you elaborate Danny’s need to stay in Amity Park. This is an idea I’ve subscribed to in the head cannon for most of my stories. It places some limits on Danny’s powers as he tends to be rather overpowered and as you have hinted at in the previous chapter, it would keep Danny out arenas I didn’t see Danny taking on.

This chapter finally reveals the reason for his break up with Sam and the conflict between Sam becoming the person she could grow to be. I think this will be harder for Sam to understand as she is not at the point of admitting to having feeling for Danny much less talking about marriage while Danny is on the other side of it.

There is also the age difference. Physically, they might be the same age but mentally, Danny is twice her age even though Sam is amazingly mature. Frankly, I don’t think you want to go there.
