Just found this last night, and I’m really glad I did. You’ve managed to keep pretty much everyone wonderfully in character, despite the much darker subject matter than the source material. I’m very impressed that you’ve managed your drama so well—most of the time on this site, it just devolves into melodrama, or everyone gets real dark and edgy. Refreshing change of pace.

Very interested to see what comes next. Thanks for writing this!

PS, I forget what chapter it was in, but when Izuku is checking his phone after stopping that runaway car, it says he has a text from his mom... who is a month dead by that point. Maybe I read it wrong, but I felt it was right to point it out just in case.

PPS, a couple of times, you mention voices lowering by octaves into whispers. What I think you meant was decibels. Octaves are tonal—the difference between a deep man’s voice and a little girl’s high and squeaky one. Decibels are measures of volume. So, when you say that a person’s voice lowers by a few octaves, they go from sounding normal, to making Darth Vader sound like a Soprano. Hope this isn’t rude of me to point out. Aside from a few mistakes here and there, this story is freakin’ quality.

In a very macabre way, everything with Toga and Midoriya ties back to Bakugo. Quite the irony since you have Bakugo being much more forgiving and repentant than most stories
