Just read this collection of chapters within about 24h, and everything about this is exactly right! Love the narrative style, with perfectly placed flashbacks, and I find it very true to the essence of the original. What you did with all the characters is amazing, proof that it's not necessary to turn any of them into some caricatural supervillain to get satisfying Erik/Christine fluff and still tell a compelling story full of the Phantom angst we all love ;) Thank you so much for this!

It's good to see the little family continue slowly moving forward with their new life together!

I love the comparison of Adele's cane to a shepherd's staff, and this line from Christine: "you mistake my quiet for meek acceptance".

I like how you've incorporated the poisoning in Persia to explain why Erik is so thin and seems not to eat. Christine is definitely observant! And I like that she's (gently) pushing Erik for more answers about his past and not backing down.

Perfect, just perfect. I smiled the whole way through this chapter. I loved that Christine wore the wedding gown Erik made for her and altered it slightly. I loved everything. I will really miss this fic, and I look forward to seeing what you do next.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! IT'S SOOOO FLUFFY! AND I LOVE IT! They symbolism of Christine keeping the wedding gown yet modifying it. How this ends with a traditional "happily ever after" wedding but it somehow feels like it's a reverse ending yet fits perfectly. Gustave with his grandpa's violin so it's a passing on of tradition. Them bucking tradition by being together in the morning because yeah she's no blushing bride. A lovely, happy end to a wonderful story.

I shall miss the notifications for updates but the ending didn't leave me wanting more. Also thank you for one last smut scene. :D

The wedding is coming!

"Strong as he is, his trust in her love is fragile and she does not wish him to worry" - that really sums up at least one aspect of Erik's and Christine's relationship. Loved the conversation with the Daroga: Erik sending him to Christine before the wedding was a nice touch. And I liked when Christine mused that her heart was at peace about marrying Erik. She knows at least something about his past and he really is trying to change.

This is an interesting exploration of a new facet of their relationship.

I love how Christine just continues to peel the layers away at Erik and is able to get him to open up and admit and accept things about himself and her.

What a wonderful chapter! Christine wanting to see the way Erik fantasized about her, and him being mildly shocked. Go, Christine! The dress reminds me of the one Sierra-as-mannequin was wearing in the London LND, but it's been awhile since I've seen that version, so I'm not sure that that's what you were describing. Your Erik and Christine complement each other perfectly and I always love the love scenes.

Plus, I love it when Erik says "Um." Always know something's up!
