Guest chapter 24 . 7/19 You know seeing as Gray has a magic core like Artoria, why not have him do something like Sigurd who has a magic core due to eating Fafnir's heart and the man is a master of Runes thanks to being taught by Brynhildr. I am curious if Gray would try to be an equivalent to him. Heck I would like to see him be able to trace Caliburn. |
Guest chapter 12 . 7/19 I like how Gray is slowing gaining more of Saber skills as he uses her memories during her time of training. It reminds me of the Bleeding Effect in Assassin's Creed as Desmond gains the knowledge and skills of his ancestors every time he goes through to relive their memories in the Animus. |
PikaMew1288 chapter 11 . 7/20 Salem is more like the True Ancestors and Dead Apostle Ancestors from Tsukihime in that she can't be killed through conventional means. Had Gray been a variant of EMIYA or Nameless then he could have projected Black Keys and used them against Salem. They were specifically designed with killing beings like Salem in Mind after all. Excalibur is designed for use against Aliens so Gray will likely only be able to bring out Excalibur's True Power once he battles the Alien in the Future. Excalibur at full power was able to kill the White Titan's flesh clone that was attacking Earth where as Divine Weapons like the Sword of Mars weren't able to do much against her. |
Doot Doot chapter 24 . 7/18 Wasn't it a bit pointless for grey to hide his name from everyone including Weiss in the beginning, but then to reveal his psuedo True name in the first encounter with the Haven arc crew? Other then that little thing I have been greatly enjoying this adventure so far and can't wait to see Weiss kick some ass in the upcoming battles now that she is armoured up and more confident than ever! |
Kenza chapter 24 . 7/18 Lancer Cu Chulainn and Rider Achilles would be great. I think those two can be quite the challenge for Gray. In terms of skills, it can be something that Gray can gain quite the experience facing those two. Cu Chulainn deadly skills with the spear and Achilles godlike speed can be something that can help Gray improve on as he sharpen his instincts and fighting skills. |
dj max chapter 24 . 7/17 Can we have Heracles for Berserker? Cause I think it would be a great challenge for Gray to face the legend himself. |
Lu chapter 24 . 7/17 You know now that Pyrrha is alive in this story, I kinda want to see the improvement that Jaune so far, the biggest let down during the post-Vol 3 is that we don't get to see the how skilled Jaune has become after Pyrrha's death, as he doesn't have a lot of fight scenes. Heck we didn't get to see much of his fight with Cinder, and all that happens is that he got his ass kicked. And really I don't he believe he had a lot of fight scenes in Volume 7 as well, as he doesn't fight a lot of Grimm or human opponents. |
Jack54311 chapter 24 . 7/17 Great chapter! I always look forward to your updates on this story. The king's appetite can never be outdone! Also, I certainly wasn't expecting the pun. Nice one! |
uzumaki.namikaze10 chapter 24 . 7/17 gooooood |
RDDash chapter 3 . 7/17 Not entirely sure who exactly is 'I' (from the Saber perspective) since she is not a girl it's not a true Saber. |
fruitspunchsamurai-987 chapter 24 . 7/17 Great chapter. I look forward to Gray's and Oscar's conversation. I mean at least have something in common. Both of them were normal people until they became something more. As they fused with an ancient souls. Gray being fused with a Heroic Spirit who happens to be one of the famous kings in legend. Oscar being fused with an ancient warrior mage who was chosen by the gods to guide humanity. The difference being is that Gray was willing to go through with the fusion and Artoria wasn't forcing or pressuring him to make his decision with the fusion, heck she actually showed understanding that if he refuse, she could send him back, but she also understood that Gray is a good person who would help others in need and knew that such a thing isn't wrong. Oscar, however, was in complete denial and and didn't want to acknowledge Ozpin's presence in his mind whenever the two talk. Heck the kid wanted to be left alone. Ozpin, took some time to convince the kid. Deep down, Oscar too does know what the right thing to do and he understood how he wanted to do more than just being a farmer. Of course unlike Gray and Artoria, the trust between Oscar and Ozpin can be quite problematic, as Ozpin has kept secrets of his life and never told Oscar about it, and he did at times forced himself to be in control over Oscar's body when the boy refused him and wanted to face Hazel. Gray already knew about the life that Artoria lead and the tragedy that she went through, and knew how she managed to finally found peace with her past, and found love and happiness with Shirou. Artoria understood what kind of person Gray is and encouraged the man and was quite gentle with him when it came to the decision he would make in wanting to save the world or not. |
Lord Halcyon chapter 24 . 7/17 A great chapter, and glad to see your alright your absence had me a bit worried with all the craziness going on. Still, I am rather looking forward to the revelations next chapter, though I was a bit worried about how Gray would explain his past and his unique situation, however, I realized that the easiest and at the same time most truthful explanation is he is in a similar situation to that of Ozpin. An amalgamation of two souls one an ancient and powerful heroic spirit and one common everyday person who died. (Though no need to go into details about the world he originates from at least when it pertains to the existence of RWBY) The main difference being it was a conscious choice by the person in question and the fact that he is a seamless fusion of two equal spirits rather than a new one being subsumed in the collective that makes up Ozpin. The only hole in Ozpin's mind would be Grays knowledge of Salem, the maidens, and his past though that could be resolved with an explanation of servants and heroic spirits with an emphasis on the knowledge acclamation granting him the information needed to understand his enemies and allies in order to properly fight the conflict in which he has been summoned. A bit surprised Ruby, Yang, and Pyrrha didn't recognize Gray but I'm looking forward to their reactions when they do. Also looking forward to the eventual spars between Gray, Wiess, and the others and the realization of just how far ahead of them Wiess has gotten. I also had an idea of how you could get the Wyvern from beacon as a summons for Weiss, Gray was the one who killed it true, but he did so as her summoned servant. And as we've seen in the show, (and this fic come to think of it) with the Queen Lancer being killed by Weiss's Arma Gigas the kills of the summons count as the kills of the master where foes for summoning is concerned. Which means that Weiss could probably learn to summon the Wyvern with enough time and training were she or Gray aware of it, food for the thought. Lastly, I am really looking forward to seeing how the Haven arc proceeds with all the changes Gray's presence has created. Personally, though I'm hoping to see a large deviation when it comes to Cinder and the power of the Fall Maiden, IE if Weiss is still run through during the battle I can easily see Gray taking Cinders head off while she's gloating her last thought thus being about killing Weiss which results in her becoming the new Fall Maiden. Everyone but Gray is panicking about Weiss's obviously fatal wound when Avalon activates restoring her to full health dumbfounding everyone. Things could also get even more interesting if after they recover the relic Blake shows up with a Caster Servant who is familiar with time magic, unlimited questions anyone. These are my thoughts do with them what you will. Overall though awesome chapter and I can't wait to read the next one, hope to see more soon. Best Regards Lord Halcyon |

ThatIdioticMelody chapter 24 . 7/17 Thank you for your hard work! I couldn't even tell that you struggled writing this at all because of how great this chapter was! In my opinion, it flowed pretty smoothly and wasn't awkward at all. If I had to say one thing, it would be that I hope you'd try to use Arthur Pendragon's history next! I don't where I heard this but supposedly, Arthur's world was destroyed or on the verge of being destroyed when he faced a Beast in in order to save the world. (The Beast being in this case the Beast of 666.) We have official stories in Fate Proto where he fought against the Beast twice and now he is traveling worlds to find and defeat it once and for all. Its only a guess (because I can't find the details), but on the third appearance of 666, he was not there to face it (on the other two times he was summoned while during this time he was resting in Avalon) and it destroyed the world. Now traveling worlds like Musashi Miyamoto (who travels worlds due to having hers also destroyed), he seeks to find the Beast of 666 to take it out once and for all to prevent the tragedy from happening again. Since he's basically a hero who struggled through countless worlds saving others, I would love to see your tale on this! Anyway, thank you for the amazing chapter, I can't wait to read whats next! |
Shifuru chapter 24 . 7/17 Dang, missed the chance to troll 'em. "... Weiss trusts me. And I belong to her... mind, body, and soul." Muahaha |
