I'm sitting here having deep philosophical thoughts about whether or not Mal is so obsessed with press perception of her because she was so used to needing to follow her mother's lead for so long and that was the first thing that fell into her lab to be a replacement for that unhealthy behavior pattern once her mother was out of the picture. So, way to provoke deep thoughts with your writing. :)

She needs to talk to people - actually talk to them. But she won't, because then things would get better instead of turning into a blowup to make the plot of the next movie of course.

I was cleaning out subscriptions and deleting completed fics, ended up rereading WAL, then realized I'd been off the site for so long that I had no idea if the transition story or sequel were up and, lucky me, I find that both are posted! (Or at least started? I didn't see if the D2 fic was completed, oops.) Anyway! I really love what you did here, showing how crazy everything was and explaining why it is that Dizzy is back on the Isle during the movie. Not to mention building up to the start of the second movie and the changes in Mal. I'm looking forward to seeing not just the sequel but also the transition between the second and third movies. Because, let's be real, Audrey seems to be just fine with Mal and Ben by the end of the first movie, she goes off with Queen Leah to the spa, and then in the third movie, she's pissed that Ben picks his girlfriend to propose to instead of her. Methinks Queen Leah was up to something! Not to mention the situation with closing the barrier because of Hades since they've already voted him back to the island. The other bit I liked was the bit with the council trying to send back royals who aren't completely squeaky clean is so great - what an excellent storyline to introduce! And now, I'm off to read the next part. Thanks so much for writing these and I hope that, wherever you are, you're staying safe as well!

this chapter just brings forth the question (in my opinion): What was the point of Evie's character? she is a USELES AND POINTLESS character in ALL of the movies

congrats on completing this one! I honestly felt horrible for Mal during that scene in D2, her best friend was completely ignoring her and focusing herself (Evie). Kind of reminded me of Anna's behavior in Frozen; she didn't listen to Elsa or pay attention to how she was feeling. If Anna had done that then things would've been different, same with Evie and Mal... at least Carlos was sort of there for her, definitely more than Evie was
