I didn't see the title of your story until I posted mine...lol. Good job. I think you should explore those avenues you mentioned because there's no time for them to do that on the show.

I'll admit that I wasn't crazy over how the show wrote Ziva's return, but I really love your version of it from Tony's perspective here. The phone call between him and Gibbs is so true to both of them, especially in how they say so little yet so much. I also love the "what if"s about Kate and Tony's initial worry when Gibbs calls. Wonderful work - I'll be sharing this at my forum. :)
