Not really since in the Doctor Who movie "The Day of the Doctor" something similar happens in it to. The Doctor meats two past versions of himself but only remembers it just as it is happening and it is explained that due to the effects of their timelines crossing in ways that shouldn't happen they forgot what they did that day. At least for the past versions of himself thus keeping a key part of the Doctor's own reasoning and purpose for doing/saying certain things.
