J chapter 1 . 10/19/2019 Excellent story! Awesome! Poor Angie! This has happened to both my mom and I to. We had bought a new bed for me and I was still getting used to it. Before I knew what was happening I fell out of bed. I just had a little cut on my face and a bruise on my leg. Now there is nothing on my bed! |
ToZiKa chapter 1 . 10/6/2019 Toddlers, especially ones whose parents are Steve and Cath, will have accidents and some injuries from time to time. There's no avoiding that. But I guess in Steve's case, with his tendency to think he has to fix everything for everyone but especially his family, he'll be harder on himself than normal parents. But not even SEAL training can prepare you for a toddler... |
Sarai chapter 1 . 10/4/2019 awesome |
Johanne Milsom chapter 1 . 10/4/2019 Yep, Accidents happen. This was a great chapter, reinforcing the stress that one unplanned situation has on a family on a too tight schedule. To return to a subject I have often spoken about, do they really have the time for the attention that an older adopted child is going to need to ensure his/her emotional stability? To my mind, no they don't. They need to ensure Angie's emotional needs first. |
grannyv3 chapter 1 . 10/4/2019 Aw, poor baby! It's so hard when they get hurt, and harder yet when you're there and can't stop it! Wait til there's more than one to watch. Fun! |
SteveMcGarrettLover chapter 1 . 10/4/2019 Aww! I felt so bad for her, and then the ending made it perfect. Loved how upset Steve was, since that's a different side of him than normak, and i love it. |
jmlane1966 chapter 1 . 10/4/2019 Those darn accidents do happen. I have felt like Steve before. The one that still haunts me was with my nephew (now 23 & a father himself.) When he was a baby, I would go take care of him on my days off. One day, I was taking him to the park, he was around six months old. In the parking lot, I laid him on the back seat while I stood in the open door to change his diaper. I had a hand on him, but a dog came running toward us and I was distracted for a second. The baby rolled out of my grasp and fell out of the car. Like Angie, luckily, he only had a bruise on his cheek. But I still have nightmares about what could have happened. |
