I've always like Maedhros best of the seven sons. Very nice poem. I wish I knew how to sing it!

Very nice poem. It definitly gives the impression of being sung; it features a very strong sense of meter. My poor little Maedhros...Oh yes, and I agree with last statement of your author's note as well.

Another Meadhros fan? Sing hallelujah! You've represented him quite well in this poem. I think Tolkien was probably inspired by Protmetheus (I probably spelled that wrong) in creating him. Both essentially good-hearted, but went against the wishes of the reigning Powers, so ended up being chained to a cliff for an extended period of time before being released by a friend. Anyway, great poetry!

first of all let me tell you that the poem is great!

second of all: i wanted to ask if you dont mind me writing music to this poem, i find it very very musical!

third of all: i Love Blind Guardian (you can see it by the nick name...) and Nightfall in Middle Earth is the best album ever! keep up the GREAT work!

I loved that. The meter, the sound of it, all good as far as I could discern. And the words echoed rather beautifully - like a song (you said it was meant to be sung, I think).

Maedhros has always been a character I tended to think about, and this was very good.

(I also liked your last comment in your author's note! Very good! I've been trying to say something along those lines for a long to to certain people...)

I especially like the verse "and kiss your cursed past good-bye" and the first and last verses of Maedhros. Beautiful...
