I still feel bad for Luffy.
The Whitebeards only being respectful to him to make Ace stay. They knew Ace would have left otherwise. Good that they were taking care of Ace while Luffy was gone but their behavior before was not.
Makes me wonder why Ace did accept joining the crew and become second decision commander.
They do care about him and support him and were his rock during difficult times. But it leaves a bad taste with me that they only got like that after Luffy was gone. Luffy never really got a treatment like that while he still was on the ship :/
