Didn’t expect to find a modern Freeman fanfic, not that’s it’s a bad thing I hope to see more!

‘’No promises” huh? I think it’s been so long that one would be able to complete HDTF (though I highly doubt it).

In allsort ofseriousness, I hope you’re doing okay. Just decided to reread the fic and I’m just more eager to see what happens next.

In other news, there’s a new Machinema Series on the internet now, which is both based on Half Life and also has a Freeman who talks way too much. It’s gotten me (and a lot of other people) back into the swing of HL content, which probably has nothing to do with HL:A or anything else. It’s also led to the creation of three other fics on site based on the series... so yeah, I guess it’s pretty popular.

Stupid flaunting of something unrelated aside, I’m still hooked on what you got next for this fic, so if more time needs to be taken then go ahead. Just be careful about the bigger picture.

Ok, this is amazing. I didin't expect your Gordon to resemble Ross Scott's interpretation so faithfully. You replicate his sense of humour well too. I will be following this story for sure.

I am enjoying Dr. Freeman being a egotistical unhinged psychopath as I have come to love this version of him.

Keep up the steller work on detailing his disillusionment with his new reality and further decent into madness as everything he has ever known falls apart. Once you hit the bottem of the barrel, you keep on going through it.

Makes sense, keep up the good story btw.

Ayyyy this fic's back. Nice to see Gordon losing his mind over anime BS.

Might sound sadistic or cold hearted, but can't wait for Freeman to kill some people and show that he was never joking about the killing people part. Though for full effect he'll probably do it in front of the girls and kill enemies that are retreating because they're loose ends.

I bet it'll be a very stark contrast to when he's fighting monsters...and with a huge dash of the Freeman's Mind style of killing (singing, dancing, puns, etc.). Can't wait for the next chapter.

Though in some seriousness, I really enjoyed the chapter. Freeman seemed just as much of an ass as always, and including the usual ‘mental break down’ scene as per the norm of the series was a nice touch.

But when reading this chapter, a thought ran through my head. If most of Freeman’s ‘bullet weapons’ are underpowered against the enemies of Planeptune, then how will it affect those in the ASIC? (unless the ASIC are monsters, but I don’t know the lore)

Since NepGear was so concerned when she heard that Freeman trained his shotgun on her friends, then that suggests that people on Planeptune would suffer a bit more than a bruise if they get shot at. But their weapons are good enough to take care of the monsters.

Now I’ve got this weird triangle going in my head... Freeman’s weapons aren’t effective against monsters, others weapons ARE effective, but Freeman can blow a hole in other people’s heads easily... and also the monsters can’t hurt Freeman, they just piss him off.

Also, IF’s got herself in a pretty hot spot. You don’t just insult the Freeman once (let alone more than five times) and expect him to cool down. She’s on the list.
