Naruto is not fragile. Despite seeing sense so far, I find it difficult that Naruto would let little things like doubts get himself down. Whatever, I disagree with your reasoning of his character. Good luck.

Question: About what Naruto has to apologize to the Kyubi, he had no saying in the process.
In addition he thinks in binary terms, either the Kyubi is in or completely out. Isn't there a middle road? until better solution arrive?

Naruto is still doing it wrong though, isn't he? Realizing his mental energy, and attempting to combine it with his physical to form chakra every time he does anything with it... Sounds to me like he stumbled into yin-yang release and was too stubborn to try using chakra otherwise; the chakra coils do produce chakra passively after-all, he'd just need to reach out and tap into what's already there.

Don't know whether it was intended or not, but I don't think I've seen a Naruto who doesn't even know how to properly mould chakra before. Could explain some things too though, actually transforming like Naruto does with henge would likely be yin-yang release after all...

It is good Naruto learned to think and ask intelligent questions, but it would have been better if he realized to ask about moulding chakra after Sora and the temple, if he took interest in it as implied. The fluffy fox itself might actually prove instrumental in this. Naruto is still too simple to question the very ground under his foundation, but a bijuu might very well simply be able feel what he does wrong and point it out.

Wonder what would happen if thought his mental energy an actual flame, and his physical the fuel, "igniting" his physical energy with the mental rather than drowning the latter in the former.

Why are they suddenly announcing the jutsu they intent to use to their opponent? Any ninja with at least 2 brains cells to rub together would know that that is the height of stupidity. You don’t see them shouting “Punch!” right before they intend to punch someone, do you? It would be pretty much the same if they did...

This started out good and I was looking forward to more until you got to naruto talking with the fox.

You have crafted a well thought out and interesting story here. Some more proof reading to catch those small bits of misspelled words and grammar would help, but they are garish.

The journey that this Naruto is on will help him to not be the immature idiot he is in the canon series. Instead it seems like it is shaping up to help not only improve his skills properly, compared to the canon Jiraiya training trip, but make him use his mind more efficiently. I would love to see not only Naruto drastically improved to his canon counterpart, but Jiraiya also improve. An apprentice learns from their master as a master learns from their apprentice.

After this first arc I'm totally sold on NarutoxSasame. Would love to see that happen. Not a big fan of how the canon Hinata could just proclaim her love for Naruto and practically win him in the end. We had no story to show how they meshed together. With your version of the romance between NarutoxSasame we have seen some of their early chemistry through their interactions. Would love to see this built upon in the future.
