This is both comforting, yet heartbreaking... With Ollie by his side, Harry’s not alone. He has someone, even if that someone was conjured up from his own mind. In that way, considering what he went through, I’m glad he had Ollie by his side.

To have someone who’d stick with you thick and thin, no matter where and when... not gonna lie, I’m a little envious. I’ll admit, I’ve always wanted an imaginary friend. Never managed it, though (probably for the better, but still). The feeling of never being alone... to me, who hates the feeling of loneliness, it would be the greatest thing ever, regardless of the circumstances involved.

But eventually, we have to come back to reality. And that is what makes it so sad. Ollie isn’t real. Atleast, not as real as the rest of the world is. Harry’s the only one able to see and hear him, will only ever be. Eventually, he’d have to choose between Ollie and the people around him. Ignorance can only last so long.

The ending was so heavy :( though I’m not entirely sure about the denial part, as Harry cried. Was it the thought that someone other than Ollie, could help him was too good to be true? He seems to have a ‘the world against me’ mentality. Breaking that down would be painful in many ways, and maybe that’s why Harry’s struggling so much to admit the truth to Snape.

The last line Harry says seems to imply that he’s finally admitting his own emotions, rather than having Ollie take it on. I think Ollie will still be around for awhile, the road to recovery is still long. But I believe that as Harry learns to express and acknowledge his emotions and opinions, Ollie would take on less and less, til Harry can finally stand on his own.

That’s what I believe Ollie is - Harry’s repressed emotions and opinions. He’s basically a kind of outspoken subconscious, and something an outlet for Harry that wouldn’t get him into trouble, since Ollie is invisible to everyone else.

Intense and well written. I'm almost sad that it's a one-shot.

This was an astonishing tour de force of a fic. Emotionally charged and had me struggling to hold back the tears at times.

I gather it was intended as a one-shot, but it would be amazing to see a follow-up fic. Any chance at all...?

This was beautifully done. At first, I thought that Ollie was a ghost. An imaginary friend or disassociate personality was a clever choice.

Severus started as he must: needlessly cruel. But he is hyper aware, when he chooses to be.

I am glad that Professor Snape punished Draco and got Harry to talk to him usefully.

Wow. For some reason that really hit home for me. I would love to see this expanded and see the results of Snapes intervention. I think I have read too many fan fictions where Dumbledore is the bad guy cause I just kept thinking if Dumbledore will even let Snape help him. Well written, thank you.

Well done. I honestly can't decide if Ollie is completely imaginary or somehow a projection of the scar Horcrux. Also can't decide which one is the "better" option.
