Very astute insight into why Kenshin might feel these deaths more than other soldiers. I usually think of this as driven by his cold blooded fighting from the shadows but this vividly captures a cold-blooded ness even on the battlefield which is quite chilling.

Painful and intense chapter. It's very interesting when Kenshin's vulnerable side is explored like that. Heartbreaking. Thank you for this, it's excellent!
