I've enjoyed this so far. Out of curiosity, is Byleth going to choose the Blue Lions or the Golden Deer? I assumed not Black Eagles because Claude and Dimitri are exclusive to their own respective routes.

I was waiting on tenterhooks to see how you'd portray Byleth - and I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! I love how you work in her backstory, how you work in her own perspective on her lack of emotions and the confusion she feels at HAVING them. The sheer trust she has in Jeralt. Her sheer skill and experience and REPUTATION.

I really really liked how you portrayed Byleth.

If Dimitri was ever this suspicious of Claude they sure hid it well.
At first I thought that would have made for an interesting divergence point, but it turned out to not matter so I guess it's neither here nore there.
Made for a great monologue though.

This first chapter shows great potential, so I look forward to the next ones and Edelgard and Byleth joining the cast.

I have to say I'm sorry. I don't do this ever but, your title of this story made me laugh because I thought it was a harry potter story. I am not in the fire emblem fandom but it was something I could not pass up!

This is a very promising 'Golden Route' story, in the sense of having the most sides working together. Dimitri is a good person and having his more rational self reach out to Claude and his crew much earlier than canon allows for it, is a brilliant idea. Cause in a lot of ways, Claude's vision of Fodlin mirrors Edelgards but without all the bloodshed and dealing with Those that Slever in the Dark.

How you write Dimirti becoming genuine friends with Claude is fantastic and the later introducing Dimirti to his band of misfits was super charming. Also really enjoyed how you simply characterized Dimirti. He is a great lord and one that has a lot of depth to him. So seeing some of his strong beliefs of justice coming out and that influencing how he helps others is good stuff.

Interested in how you are going to link Byleth to everything and how she's going to play off potentially teaching two houses in unison. Great work and can't wait for more!
