I got to admit, I thought for a moment that Ulfric was charging out to face Alduin with just an axe and his Shouts, but it was just an average dragon.

I can totally see Ulfric claiming to be the Dragonborn, but I hope Valkyrie gets to dispute that claim at some point. Of course, if she suddenly absorbs that newly killed dragon’s soul, her identity as the Dragonborn could be revealed and Ulfric will be gunning for her.

I love how you used most of the canon Unbound dialogue but in different context. And the extra precautions against Ulfric Shouting were excellent.

Sanguine must be delighted that the Dragonborn got drunk and started drunk shouting. I bet even Durnehviir and Paarthurnax get a laugh out of it while catching up.

Can Valkyrie summon Durnehviir at High Hrothgnar? I bet he’d enjoy passing on a word or two to her or the Greybeards! Plus, imagine how Paarthurnax would react to seeing another dragon!

Very nice chapter... and I have to ask, has Valkyrie made the mountain shake while Serena is sharing her bed at night? Because I can see her losing control of her voice in a moment of passion. Or a nightmare.

I really like how she’s getting a head start. Alduin won’t show up till the next year, so I hope you can make the battle truly epic.

Also, when is Partysnacks and the Beards meeting with Zombie Dude? I feel like the Greybeards would be excited by another dragon, and Partysnacks hasn’t spoken with another of his kind in millennia.

Cool start. The dream vision sequence thing threw me for a loop at first. But does this mean that there'll be no Helgen? Or will we get Helgen eventually. Not sure how else to introduce Alduinn super spooky-like.

I was almost about to start thinking this was gonna be another story where it said it was gonna continue, but then just dropped off completely. You'd be surprised how often that happens. But I guess my fears have been stowed?

But, just a question. Do you have a schedule for this story? Or are you just going with "it's finished when it's finished" type deal?
