i guess you could say; this was a restart for all of them: even revolver seems to be okay with it; almost as if destroying their original forms, not only made them harmless but allowed them to restart. their memories (except lightening's) are intact, but their powers, not so much - they can began a new, develop slowly, and properly coexist with Humans; all of them.

I like this ending better :) - Yusaku seems to finally get his closure after his long 3 month spiritual journey for closure. If they went a bit long and didn't rush season 3 and maybe had a fourth one i could see Yusaku finally getting pure closure and finding what he (like the other protagonists) were missing. plus we can hopefully see windy's partner, roboppy, learn what happen to queen and the other former sol tech guys, and Ai can properly make it up to everyone, and the others can be with their friends: maybe lightening will get a new form and etc, like the others when they're ready to advance.

Takeru will be excited to see Flame again, Miyu will definiately be happy to meet Aqua; things might be weird for specter and earth, and hopefully windy and Jin will accept the original (not evil) windy, and the new Lightening.
