I would honestly be really happy if she and Canary decided to just be best buds and go to the cage together and have this be slice of life lmao interspersed with other villains becoming their friends too xD

Just came from Spacebattles after hearing that more of this was posted here. Really enjoying the story for the most part, but there is one issue that I think is a fairly major problem.
The story hasn't done a very good job of making me feel any sort of empathy for the heroes save Emma (though it's wild that she's the exception, just wow). Like, sure, they're all very traumatized by the scary blob monster, but they're coming across as only slightly better than apathetic about Paige's blatant railroading and Taylor's whole situation. Yeah, it sucks that they got their butts kicked, but their problems are so hilariously small compared to the suffering the viewpoint characters are getting that the contrast saps away most of the empathy for them. Add to that the fact that they are objectively the villains in this situation, actively standing by while Canary's getting railroaded and stopping Flask from trying to stop what's a death sentence, empty platitudes about Lustrum aside.
There's more about the situation that makes it hard to feel bad for them, but really those are the main points. It's still a strong story and I'm enjoying it, but it's really failing to paint the heroes as sympathetic for me.

Great now I'm left wondering who Liz was talking to? Because with the conversation in how it was going, I assumed Accord, now I'm left thinking it's possibly Number Man ensuring that Cauldron has an open ear to a very useful and powerful cape that's done nothing but make splashes when she starts shifting things around. Can we get a flashback next chapter in how Taylor and Emma, met with Lisa outside of costume?

And now I'm left thinking that Number Man wouldn't need that information since he could probably just call and ask Accord himself? Unless that phone call was to Coil somehow? And what was with Liz's numbering how 83% just before the end, is she supposed to be a Pre-Cog, or just a normal person throwing out a random numbers in a guess?

Please don’t tell me you degraded Taylor into a fucking slime monster. She deserves better than That.

An interesting change in status quo. It's nice how the Wards are not immediately accepting of their scary, dangerous new member despite her being a Ward on paper. I'm curious if/how that will play in the future. I mean, what could you actually do against someone like Flask if she breaks the rules or goes overboard or anything? Three thousand charges couldn't stick. I'd really love to see how Flask is treated going forward when she's de facto above the law.

Also, if you're implying what I think you're implying, that's some crazy-level mastermind shit from Coil. Holy jesus.

I'm getting all kinds of mixed messages about Taylor and Emma and it's kinda disorienting. Sorta pun not intended. Anyways, looking forward to more of this and in particular I'm looking forward to seeing who the hell Taylor's lawyer is working for.
