Rex harris chapter 19 . 3h An absolutely amazingly written master piece. I think the most impressive thing is how the story stayed interesting without hardly any actual fighting that is usually one of the centers of naruto FanFic and many other genres. Love the story and although it’s the first of your works I’ve read it won’t be the last. |
sukondis chapter 19 . 7/26 T-T that endinggggg |
adrian11 chapter 19 . 7/24 Wow. Wow. Wow. What a journey this story has been. You've accomplished something truly special with this series; for one, the quality of the writing is as good as anything I've read. Your detailed knowledge and commitment to historical and cultural elements bring your world completely to life, completing the world written by Kishimoto in myriad ways, enriching it and deepening it. Your choice of protagonist and her path in life are not one that you would normally find in this genre. She is not a warrior, and she is a mother many times over. And yet, her life is equally compelling and fascinating to that of any warrior - I can say without a doubt that this is an amazing example of feminist writing. Many feminist writers go - not wrong, exactly - but they think that the way to make a female protagonist compelling is by letting them take on the roles usually occupied by men in that society. There's nothing wrong with that. But I think that it can sometimes be shortsighted - at some level, it is almost like they are buying into the narrative that what has historically been 'women's work' is less valued, or less interesting. Kita takes on many of the roles occupied by women - working with cloth, motherhood, navigating diplomatic ties with allies through a soft touch, educating the youth - and this series has been enthralling from start to finish. She shows her power, not like a man does, but in subtle and wily ways. The soft touch. There's no better example of this than how she influenced the Uchiha-Senju Alliance, never 'directly' intervening, and yet arguably more influential in it than any other single person. I think that you've done a wonderful job of showing how women in technically patriarchal societies still wielded huge influence in subtler and less acknowledged way. I've also taken a lot of notes on how you portray the intricacies of social connection: you bring in so many elements, and it never feels like an infodump - it is always weaved skillfully into the story to show the worldview the characters are operating on and how it influences how they see and interpret different actions. I don't think I've ever ACTUALLY read a more skillful example of this detailed portrait of another culture, weather that culture be historical or imagined. It was brilliant. Thanks again for all your work - I'll be disappointed not to read more of it. Can you tell me if we can expect more work from you in the future, and if so where to find it? |
Lost Egos chapter 19 . 7/23 It was great. So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish. Ps. And that far more amusing line had me picturing Kita as a member of the Axis faith worshipping Aqua from Konosuba. |
nx2U chapter 19 . 7/20 Could you please do a side note on the trip from Water to the main land accompanied by Isabu? Please? |
Queen Paddie chapter 19 . 7/19 Thank you so much for this beautiful journey you’ve brought us along for. This story has made me laugh and cry and I’ve looked forward to every update. I love how it ended and I was so ecstatic with how the dynamics between Kita, Madara and Tobirama worked out. I look forward to any future stories, regardless of their content, simply because I love your writing style so much. Please consider writing other stories with OCs as it’s been fascinating to see how Kita’s existence had such amazing, rippling consequences! Thanks again, and good luck to you and all your future endeavours! |
Mari Wollsch chapter 19 . 7/19 super! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
LadyLunaTwilight chapter 19 . 7/18 MORE PLEASE! I love this series! This is awesome! |
CrazyReader chapter 19 . 7/17 This is THE MOST AMAZING Naruto fanfic I've ever read! The Politics and the character relations and just the intricate details of the lives of not just the main characters but also the OCs, you've given them personality, family background and most importantly breathed life into each individual characters! Thank you for sharing with us fanfic readers such a spectacular piece of work! Ps. If you were to do an extra I would love to know how you'll incorporate the original Naruto cast like Naruto, Sasuke, Itachi and Sakura! Would they even become shinobi? Also because there's technically no 'Hokage' what would Naruto's dream evolve to? PPs. Hashirama's death was unexpected but a necessary death that really shook me. I loved (though I didn't like his character) how you shaped his character, using the knowledge known from the cannon like being a idiot, loud and etc then you've twisted his character from what is the general idea and highlighted the bad parts of such characteristics! All I can say at the end was WOAH! PPPs. I really love the dynamic between Madara, Kita, Tobirama and their children! pppps. If you ever write a novel, I would love to know and would definitely buy and read it! Your writing and plot is so great that no words can describe how magnificent and engaging it is! |
Falling Right Side-Up chapter 19 . 7/17 Damn, such a huge reveal at the end! I can't believe this is the end. I loved every moment of it. The world-building and the unconventional relationships, and the love between Kita and Madara. I have never loved Madara so much in a fanfic. And while I'm sad to see that not everyone from canon is mentioned, like Minato and the Kyuubi, somehow I also feel it's natural. The world has changed. People's fates are different, and it would feel awfully contrived if everyone still ended up in Konoha anyways or you worked everyone into the new world plot. Still, I'd love to see a side-fic (of snapshots?) of moments we didn't get to see. Like Isobu meeting Kita's family and especially the god that supposedly moved Kita to this world and helped her in her endeavors. Like what? HOW?! Gah, and Madara dying really made me tear up. I know this is like the perfect death-old age, surrounded by family, knowing you're loved-but still. Could we get a reunion fic in the afterlife? Anyways, thank you for the wonderful adventure. |
