This chapter was a fantastic ending and segue to Torrent. It fits. As they are companion pieces, that makes sense, but not all writers are capable of connecting multiple pieces of fiction. You are very talented. Your story and characters could stand on their own, without the background of the TV series. Yes, I initially began reading your fiction because of Timeless, and yes when I read I picture Matt Lanter and Abigail Spencer, but those are not the reasons I keep coming back to your writing. I return for your plot development and for your complex characters. This series (Torrent and Once Upon a Highway) continue to be my favorites, and are worth the reads. Of course, keep up with the others, because your fans want them as well. When you leave fanfic and set out as an independent writer, you will have an established fan base of readers.

It was very nice to have this sort of prequel! You write Lyatt beautifully! It’s just so them and I’m very glad that in this end, it’s Lucy who saved herself from her mother and Noah and not Wyatt. I really loved the end, the similar scenery from the beginning and how Lucy saved herself, breaking her engagement and accepting the job offer, facing her mother... that was just perfect ! This was the perfect thing for me to read after last nights watch party. I never stop missing this show, but the determination to save it is stronger than ever now. If I can't get the show, the fics are the next best thing, and this is a gem. I love the angst, and the obvious fate there. Sad to see that you are almost done with it, I really enjoy reading this one!

C'mon, Lucy, stop burying your head in the (Rittenhouse) sand. Wyatt's right-your mom totally played you, sweetheart, with the whole Noah thing. No such thing as coincidences, right? While I will be sorry to see you finish this story, I'm excited for the final chapter :))

This was the best chapter yet! I particularly enjoyed Lucy and Wyatt's "time traveling" conversation-very clever of you to work that in there ;) Yeah, a gear head like Wyatt would probably be thrilled to find himself behind the wheel of a '55 'Vette :) That's very sweet of Lucy. I'm looking forward to what I hope will eventually be a showdown between Lucy and CP ('cause Wyatt's right-the way she met Noah was definitely CREEPY). Great job :))
