This was a very creative story. I thought Charlie was slow on the being a dad to Bella but full in for Seth and Leah. So it was hard for me to see Bella so holding on to a man who really never went to her or believe her, or loving to her. Heidi was barely a protector, and bella I wanted to slap repeatedly. I really did want to slap her. Many times I thought poor Marcus.
The concept was new I really like your creativity. Thanks for sharing.

Well...
I was enjoying this story, very, very much, but then was left with the ending of the previous chapter and this "Prologue". Therefore, I am just as disappointed this isn't actually a completed story. :(

However, as I said, I truly enjoyed it. I don't like that Bella is punished for something she didn't even know about though. I actually think her punishment isn't fair at all. It would be like punishing a newborn baby (yes, I'm exaggerating a bit here) for hurting the mother as s/he was being born. Basically, the point is, how can you punish anyone when they don't even know what they did was wrong? Bella was following her own gut/feelings, yes, fears, but when she didn't know doing so would cause so much damage, how can anyone blame her? Especially, when it is apparent - based on her own words - she didn't know it would cause Marcus so much pain.

Now, on to Charlie and Sue. What exactly would they "need" to leave for? They are both newborn vampires also. What on Earth could they "need" to do that takes Charlie away from Bella? On that same note... if Charlie and Bella had such a strong father and daughter bond, then why wasn't Charlie chomping at the bit to get to Bella and make sure she was okay, safe after he regained his memories? On that same note, why would he not want to be around her more after the incident with the werewolves? If he was so protective and close to Bella, then why wasn't he having it out with the Volturi for letting her nearly die by werewolves, or letting her run off, or so many other reasons?

As you may be able to see, the Charlie and Sue bit sat with me a lot throughout the story. *blushes*

Okay... on to other parts. :D
I loved the closeness of the Volturi with Bella, and each other. It was sweet, and made for a wonderful family environment. This is part of the reason why her punishment seems so harsh to me, and frankly, unfair. Sure, there were some Volturi lost in the battle with the werewolves, but they expected to lose some during the battle with the Romanians. How is this any different? How can they blame Bella for the many things she didn't even know that caused this? :( :( :(

I am thrilled with the mate for Jane! I'm loving her mate so very much! He is becoming one of my favorite characters! :D :D :D

I actually like who is mated to Edward. I also love she choose to regain her past. ;) It should help Marcus, Aro, and the others to connect with her again. Also, it should help her and another end things on a good, strong, and equal note, as they promised to do should things turn out as they have. :D

There was so much to enjoy and love about this story. This is why it is so disappointing to have ended as it did, especially with the hint about Bella's human family and brother. :(

Do you realize that chapter 18 is a repeat (duplicate) of chapter 17?
