Ahw I love this! It read very reverse!trio/astronomy nerd!danny to me and it was very adorable. I believe Star is a cheerleader but I like how you honed in on her math smarts here. Thanks for the read!

This was a neat little gem of a story. I like to think if the show wasn't cancelled then Star would have been fleshed out more.

But the plot point about Danny's freckles glowing when he's excited is similar to a headcanon I've had about the ghosts in the show; that their physical form is directly tied to their mental image of themselves. It's been directly referenced by Youngblood but in conjecture to the other ghosts and Danny himself, it does lead to interesting interpretations.

Skulker is just a small ugly green blob instead of intimidating armor so maybe deepdown he thinks he's really weak and needs to over-compensate. Penelope Spectre is basically a succubus who needs energy to maintain her youth but maybe she's just a vain sadist who just wants an excuse to hurt others.

It definitely puts Danny in a sad light of having poor body issues since he looks so lanky and thin. Heck, I remember tumblr making a big deal how Danny wearing a shirt at the public pool was proof he was ashamed of his body. It's funny when he got split in two and his heroic side suddenly looked beefier.

There's probably nothing to this theory but it's a fun little headcanon.

So this is part of the “blood drive” universe? Nice touch with connecting your stories. Really interesting.
I must admit, I found it an interesting twist to have star try to bait Danny into a compromising situation only for him and his friends to deny it totally.

Interesting. Wonder what will happen next.
