This episode was one of the best of the season, and this story shows how much Dean was affected by being told that he was "pining for someone" - aka- Amara. I love that you show how these brothers are so aware of each others' thoughts, feelings and actions - the way they sense one another. And yes, Dean would sense something different about "Cas" when he wasn't overly preoccupied - he knows him so well. Thanks for sharing this wonderful story with us. I really enjoyed it. Ah, Sam's memory box. It would be great to see that again. Of course Dean knows all about it. Interesting how time could become meaningless in that bunker. Love the bit about knowing where your partner was/knowing where you brother was. Dean's default mode is so familiar - love that too. Even in this relatively short piece there are so many great things to enjoy. I could mention many more.

Really well written. One of the boys always holds on to hope for both of them when the other is struggling. Hope is everything. You portray - so well - that, despite all of the extraneous issues loaded onto them perpetually it seems, their relationship at its core is so beautifully pure.
