Jesus. That was dark, but I actually prefer it to the ending that we got in season 4. Logan gets blown up, we see no grieving, but we get to see Veronica healed, getting therapy and accepting Logan's death in the end?! Are you kidding me!

Logan deserved so much better all the way around. I'm sorry, KB, but I hated your Veronica in a lot of season 3 and all of season 4. How we got the movie, but then season 4 where Veronica actually regresses back to high school era mentality, insecurity and behavior was beyond me. I won't watch any more of it, although I'm fairly certain that it won't be coming back.

I don't see Veronica being that person that we saw one year after Logan's death UNTIL she's done what this fic depicts; taken care of every single thing that ever hurt Logan and took him from the earth. And after that, I'm sure she would probably have preferred death.

I'm all for the HEA, but RT couldn't ever decide who he wanted Veronica to be. He never allowed her to grow more than a second at a time, and then it would be two steps back after. So yes, I'm pissed at the poor writing and plotting. And I appreciate this version of how Veronica Mars would have addressed life after finally reaching a pinnacle where she got over herself and married the man, just for her life and mistakes to take him away.

You're writing is always dead on. THIS is what would happen if Veronica Mars had gotten Logan blown up. Revenge. Beautiful Revenge. Logan would Revenge Veronica if the paths were reversed. Please keep writing and remember we are looking to writers like you to get through the disgusting Season 4 crap pile, especially the ending that shall not be named. I actually bought your MLP book on Amazon when I first read "A Life Extraordinary" because the writing was sooooo good. I can't wait for more.

Secondly, I’m so sorry the ending of S4 is what brought you back. One of the things I loved most about ALE was it was unashamedly angst free. The tension actually came from the mystery! What a concept!
This Fic is so dark but rises organically from the events of S4. In RT’s world, there is “symmetry.” V acts like teenage L—circling back to S1. So V blames herself for L’s death just as L blamed himself for Lily’s. You’ve nailed the “noir” world—V is willing to do anything—torture and murder. The setting is sleazy—Liam and the River Styx. No more marshmallow or fighting the good fight. But your writing is so much better than RT’s. The reader actually knows why V acts as she does and feels sympathetic to her situation. V retains some of the characteristics we love—her intelligence, determination, ability to slip into a role, etc.
Thanks for a cathartic end to this—in my mind—AU. You are a treasure in VM fandom.

Holy moly, uncooked cannoli! This fic was made of ouchies! It's so dark and painful (and pained) and really does a good job of showing Veronica's downward spiral, piling on the guilt and self-hate, but it's so well done! Thank you for this fic, I say, as it stabs me through the heart. This makes the dark/jaded stuff in your Accidentally Iago fic look like a romcom. 3 And just in case you're writing again, may I make a wish for fluff and blow-kiss it into the universe, after this? No pressure, though! Am grateful for the fluff you have already written!
