A very cool, fast paced snippet. I like these little “behind the scenes” stories where you fill in details the game kind of passed over. First of all, the action is great throughout. It’s very intense and nonstop in the beginning, and I can sense their exhaustion. This op, as we’ve discussed, is wildly different from what they’ve dealt with in the past and they’re really just trying to survive rather than complete an objective. The fact this all takes place in a huge city makes it all very apocalyptic, and you did a great job showing the unexpected chaos and destruction. Salem is understandably losing hope and coming undone because this was supposed to be something legit and most likely nonviolent since they were just placing beacons. The rug has really been pulled out from under them both, and you show how it really gets to Salem because he was hopeful things would be different than their SSC days, but it turns out he’s still stuck in this cycle with Rios and this dirty work. Awesome work with this little snapshot that gave added conflict and context to their behavior in this scene. Thanks for posting :)
