   LucasA chapter 1 . 5/6 Honestly, I came to read this first chapter without really remembering the context of this issue, but that's alright, I quickly got settled in. It's actually nice to see you fleshing out this specific Gwen more, early on she was definitely that pretty and sweetheart girl archetype that our hero eventually falls for, so it's cool to see more of her instead of that. And yeah, that 60s dialogue was pretty noticeable, but you know, you stuck with the material so I applaud you for making the transition here so smoothly, I really can't tell if the dialogues here were new, because they were a perfect fit. I guess that if you tried to modernize this aspect, you would have to make a lot of changes, like a modern reimagination of those issues, such as the setting and stuff, some slangs here were really a product of that time, it gives your chapter an extra charm. So, congrats for flawlessly bringing the original comics here and smoothly giving Gwen more depth within the setting/time those issues were written on, you did great. I will get to read more of this soon! |
