Now that's interesting... Edelgard catching a glimpse of Sothis forms yet another critical piece of finding a 'true path' where we mostly get happy endings. Even if her ambition to remove the current system of nobility Rhea perpetuates can't be undone so easily, once she understands the truth of the matter then it becomes more feasible that this doesn't end with both her and Rhea dying. Also I guess it means she's allowed to come on the Indech/Macuil missions now.

And this also allows you to totally upend Edelgard's C support! She's really going to be quite shocked if Byleth's reaction to her admitting she has the Crest of Flames too is 'Yeah, I figured. Wanna talk about it?'

I'd be scared too if I saw a small elf-like child pouting at me suddenly!

This was a nice chapter. Yuri being Bernie’s commoner friend, Petra, Leonie and Lysithea all reached B-Rank support and Mercie is completely oblivious to Byleth’s status as a chaos magnet much to Emile’s amusement.

Oh Catherine, if only you knew...

She might actually be a good candidate to consider sharing the truth with, when we're trying to keep everyone safe and reach a gold ending. She's absolutely loyal to Rhea so the info won't leak, and it'll help give Rhea a confidant to take care of her mental health during the stresses of war.

But who could be best given this knowledge among the houses... the choice makes a great difference in our chances, as does the timing and method of reveal. We want someone discreet, someone social, and someone closely linked to each leader... I would try Mercedes, Lysithea, and maybe Hubert... Secrecy and tact is paramount- revealing it in the wrong way will have the opposite to the desired effect.

I was pretty torn between Hubert and Jeritza, but Byleth has already claimed Jeritza after Hubie blundered a few chapters ago. Love this, still don’t understand why it’s been 157 chapters and we’re still in White Clouds but I ain’t complaining.

I'm surprised that By worked that out so fast... Though Jeritza gave her all the information she needed. I wonder if it will change anything between them..?

In other notes for the last few chapters, I am certainly glad that the Relics have some kind of anti-theft feature... Especially since it implies that the spirits trapped inside those hellpieces are at least permitted a little bit of a way to exert their will on the world, even if a Crest overrides them. Every little bit counts for lessening the suffering...

Oh, and Sothis! She learned the truth of her species, which is a vital piece of information for guiding the survivors to safety... And more immediately, preventing disaster with Miklan, and working out the full disastrous weight Edelgard's robbery at the tomb carries. Sharing this information with the correct people in the correct way is going to be highly important to securing a middle path.

Oh yeah, and Sothis the Energy Fountain has been fun to watch. A shame it'll be over soon, but Byleth does need to focus for the coming troubles.

Damn do I appreciate Catherine though. She carried through on her duties perfectly. But honestly, Rhea managing to string together all of the bits of evidence so smoothly... that is equally cool.

I do hope that Byleth is able to get some good chats in regarding her new equipment... And that the Sword of the Creator brings her more than just pain. It may be a terrifying weapon and a reminder of humanity's greatest betrayal and failure, but it's power can at least be set to noble ends... Will it affect Sothis in any way? If we're lucky, maybe it can empower her. If we're not... well, I can understand how such an object might be too painful to look at.

Well! Now I look like an idiot, should have waited for things to settle before making any snap judgments, but still this is a good feeling! I much more prefer to look like an idiot and see that the characters in a good story haven't lost their minds than the alternative, I hadn't notice that there was tension for Jeralt's and Byleth's sudden position, yeah there was Catherine and Seteth but Catherine's issues were clearly based on jealously and Seteth was merely being the only sane man among a very weird situation, but I attribute it to the fact that we have seen nigh everything from Byleth's perspective and not Jeralt's. Now comes the not-so loveable (and by not-so I mean absolutely not) rogue Miklan, I'm guessing this will be done by the Blue Lions, or maybe the Black Eagles? It has been a while since Byleth led a charge with them, can't wait for the reactions of everybody since you've done a great job at converying how mind-blowing it is for the Sword of the Creator to be found to Fodlan, I can't wait to see what will be the reactions of the students.
