Civil War is my least favorite of the Avengers movies, and I hate the bad feelings and broken friendship and misunderstandings and choices between them. Even in this fic the restraint there is heartbreaking. But I did very much like that Steve came as soon as he could, that Tony was willing to accept the offered help in behalf of someone he loved, and that they were able to take one tiny step closer to each other. Thank you for sharing this, and being fair to both sides. They both deserve it.

Steve needs a hug. All the hugs. And possibly a portable hospital. Poor guy. His moral dilemma really was deeply distressing, since we all know just how engrained his morals are. For it to get to that point says more than words can about what he must have been through. But it’s great to have Tony there for him, “cold, disinterested millionaire” and all. :)

Oh, Steve. You need a happy retirement to look forward to. The things he’s been through... (well, the things us fanfic writers put him through...)

I don’t know why I like Tony looking after Steve so much, but I do. It’s right up there with liking Steve looking after Tony. Good thing this story has both!

Wait, wait. Is Steve to Tony what Tony is to Pepper in terms of headache-causing? Because that is pretty much the best idea ever.

Also, it’s super good of Steve to stand by Tony. They may not agree personally on issues, but he’s giving the team a united front and I just really like that.
