Enjoyed this chapter quite a bit.

The culmination of all that the Scions have done didn't just shock the Chais but me as well during this bit. I was not expecting to be able to call them all down for this at all and it was all bloody great. Alphinaud's shock and Alisaie's "Well done, brother" was also great. I'm a tiny bit disappointed that Claire didn't keep up with teasing Alphinaud when demanded to know who they are but it's still great and very fitting.

I don’t typically right reviews, but I love this story/series (I may have read them multiple times...) and wanted to say you have done a phenomenal job putting this all together. Alphinaud is sooo adorable, and I love the shipping with your character. I love how it has built up, and I hope it gets the ending it deserves. I’m really looking forward to Alphinaud and Claire’s talk as well.
Anyway, you’ve done an amazing, phenomenal job on this and I can’t wait for the rest. Also don’t listen to negative nancies, if they don’t like it they can go pound sand.

Ah... that little bit about the bottle T_T.

The only issue i have with shadowbringers in fanfic and in game is that graha thinks we must be tricked to help save the first. Have we not as warriors of light been selflessly saving nation after nation with no prodding and even did the same with the crystal tower, but all of a sudden must now be tricked into doing what we have been for years. It never made sense to me. We have risked our lives numerous times even. I know it makes for a great story but it never made sense to me.

Hoooo boy, Claire is breaking down in a bad way. Her physical health going downhill also exposes a lot of the other baggage she’s dealing with as well, forcing them to front. Not always a bad thing, mind you (her visit to House Fortempts solved struggles that originated before and would have lasted well after the present situation), but it’s certainly adding to the weight.

Another musing that’s been in my head over the past few chapters: one of the few consistently weak point in FFXIV’s storytelling is the sense of time passing... or rather, the lack of it. It seems like it’s been decreed that it must ALWAYS be 5 years since the Seventh Umbral Calamity. This also means character barely age. Alphinaud was 16 in ARR, by this point if normal time counted he’d actually be twenty at this point if plot characters ever aged according to the Eorzean calendar.

I thought this was good and on minfilia after shadowbringers. She could watch over the first while the wol tends to the source. Even the wol would be stretched too thin trying to save multiple worlds at once. If they had to do both it would take days at the most til they collapsed from pure fatigue.

One of your best chapters. You really nailed Thancred's POV here about the turmoil going around inside his head
Regardless of what others have said, as a reader I think that this shadowbringers story you are writing is your best one after the samurai questline. The pov's feel accurate not just to thoughts but also their way of thinking. Its what puts this story above the rest

thank goodness the filler chapter is over. ranjit was such a terrible character in shadowbringers. what a boring questline. Should have been done with thancred killing him instead of padding him out more so the pc can end him.

Oh man... these are the scenes I am anticipating the most. With the way you've got Alphinaud and Claire, I see parallels to Magnus. Considering that it looks like the conversation didn't go as expected I'm worried about them.

NO! You will continue writing the story EVEN after 5.3 and 6.0 all the way to the end. Why? Well, no one else has bothered to write ''scripts'' about this game and POV's

All of this ouch - emotional gut punch and ew Zeno's obsession... at least he planned on destroying the poison? The scenes with the twins, Y'shtola's embarrassment, and Urianger going a version of "oh shit" are my lights in this emotional gut punch.
