Cool! I've never read the comic, but you make it sound pretty awesome!

Awesome fic, and great response to the 'idiot ball' moment! According to Ian at a convention, that moment was partially mandated by Sega-he'd wanted Shadow to remove his inhibitor rings and go all-out, believing the energy he'd burn off would stop him from being corrupted, but Sega nixed that because they want Shadow written a certain way (basically the jerk rival who wants to prove himself better) and what ended up happening was the best he could come up with under those limitations. He's not too happy about how it turned out for obvious reasons. XD;

Wonderful writing. Emotive and raw. Great adaptation of the source material. Excellent overall.

Good story. That part about Sonic not understanding how different Shadow and Eggman's situation was is not something that occurred to me.
