Reviews for The North Remembers
The Jingo chapter 4 . 1/26
Decent read so far, I'll keep an eye on it.

- In Ned's case I think he should probably get ahead of the curve here and mollify Robert. By so bluntly denying southern matches for any of his children save Robb, Ned pretty much has to offer Robb for Myrcella. Especially if he plans to stick to his guns and dent being Hand of the King. Otherwise he makes an enemy out of Bobby B.

- I do find your Jon a bit odd. It doesn't matter that he's a bastard, since bastards can still be given holdfasts and thus noble names of their own. He wouldn't be a Stark without legitimization as one, but he could have a name that isn't Snow.

It's one thing for him to run off in canon, but here's he's well loved and well integrated.
The Jingo chapter 2 . 1/26
This is an interesting divergence so far, but for accuracy sake I will point out your Ned is wrong.

Women don't rule in the North. In the 8000 years of the Starks no woman ever ruled in her own right, as they lost Winterfell to their male Stark relatives. Bear Island is an exception, not the rule.

And this makes sense. The North is large and should not be a monolith. Consider Dorne, where a lot of people assume women inherit on equal basis but this is only in the south, while the northern Dornish keep to Andal customs and practice male preference inheritance.

Variation does exist, but in terms of the North Winterfell is one of the places where women very explicitly do NOT rule.
InfinityMask chapter 4 . 12/22/2019
It really interesting what a more close knit Stark would bring... I really really looking forward to see what your planning.
Sageofchaos chapter 4 . 8/18/2019
hope to read more.
Guest chapter 4 . 8/14/2019
why is it all about Sansa? Every chapter has revolved around her/ She's the least important and least likable of all people.
Guest chapter 3 . 8/14/2019
so your going to "dig deep" and bore us to death trying to "show there character" never mind that the minor changes you have bothered to show DO NOT EQUAL THE CHANGES YOUR SO PROUD OF! fucking lazy ass bitch
vindictive Glory chapter 1 . 8/12/2019
interesting to say the least.
Moshi chapter 4 . 8/11/2019
So Sansa changed due to a traumatic event that had Jon saving her life. Gotcha.
Boris Yeltsin chapter 4 . 8/11/2019
Another fine chapter.
Moshi chapter 3 . 8/5/2019
And this just renews my belief that Septa Mordane was quite the instigator in the rivalry between Sansa and Arya. Both girls were jealous of the other, if only they had a Septa who was more encouraging and more invested in finding a solution to problems instead of degrading. Sansa might have been able to be more free in her behavior, not so desperate to be perfect and Arya might have found a use for well constructed stitches.
Boris Yeltsin chapter 3 . 8/5/2019
Well done.
mcnexusbros chapter 2 . 8/4/2019
I am loving this fic so far. But I have one request. PLEASE DONT SENT JON TO THE NIGHTS WATCH!
Boris Yeltsin chapter 1 . 8/3/2019
An interesting take on ASOIAF so far.
Radio Free Death chapter 1 . 8/3/2019
I honestly don't see why you have the characters change so much to the point where they read like someone's OC than canon characters. Sansa fighting? Will it ever be explained why? Even Arya fighting here doesn't make sense, because her father only allowed it because he saw it as something Arya might get bored of eventually, threatening to take it all away from her if she pushed him. You don't have to give the Stark sisters every advantage possible so that they face no challenges ahead.
Moshi chapter 2 . 8/3/2019
I like it, though, if Sansa is 14 and Arya is 12, shouldn’t Bran be 10 and Rickon 6-7?
