Awesome chapter. I love how Matthew/Joffrey ranted to his incompetent King guards, aides, and followers. I'm starting to doubt Jaime's loyalty.

That rant at the beginning reminded me of that scene in a WW2 movie (also the Hitler reacts meme) where Hitler is downright screaming at his generals for something and then his energy leaves him and he looks all downcast. This was exactly like that.

Well, that was a close run thing with the Tyrells. Almost a disaster

I'm feeling much better now that Matthew is going to play the game properly. the impetus to force this altered perspective was well done.
Personally I think he could bring margaery more into his camp by giving her a promise that he will do everything in his power to ensure their child does not inherit as broken a world as the one robert left him. a spiel along those lines might cement her allegiance better. and olenna by proxy when margaery informs olenna of matts stated goal. olenna will want her royal great grandchildren in as safe and stable a position as possible, which means supporting matthew's efforts.

Ah, Tyrion, I don't think he really gives a fuck about living or dying in all truth. He wanted to kill the fucker who took his wife from him. I really think he has a death wish in all truth.

Great episode. Very realistic depiction of the alternative political landscape here, despite all the advantages brought by Matthew, the Seven Kingdoms are a cesspit that keeps dragging you down no matter what, and a... modern outlook will only get you so far.

Hoping for more, or rather a lot more :)

The fact of being a king is not a joke and less of a country like Westeros, with shitty advisers like what our protagonist has for a modern man would undoubtedly justify that he himself wanted to kill himself or go crazy and paranoid.
