I knew all that trauma would take a toll. Is this an alternative reality where Olaf survived book 13, and the Baudelaire reached the mainland safe and sound. But what about Beatrice II? Or this fic part ways in another book before they met kit?
A dreadful fire again marked them and took Klauss, the logical conclusion would be to blame Olaf, but I'm not so sure arson and kidnapping is also a hallmark of VFD they could be behind this.
Poor sunny can't catch break, now violet too is gone poisoned and gone in flames that's more than a child would have to see in her lifetime, and the cherry on top is finding Klauss loves orphans.
