It's one of my favorites among your Noragami fics. Straight to the point and touching.

You do have a way with words. Yes, the main theme of his fic is touching in its own right, but even a touching (or otherwise promising/interesting) theme can but butchered by poor writing skills. Like, I've read plenty of fics in which I would just shrug the characters' suffering off, because the angst either falls flat or is just overdone or is actually wangst not angst, and so on. It's not the case with your fics, though. Your writing style makes me care about these characters and their relations, and it sure helps their their actions generally make sense in context. Yato really does behave like a victim of lifelong domestic violence here, trying to first hide, then downplay his hurt, and even making excuses on behalf of the perpetrator.

There's lots of other delightful stuff here (if you can call hurt-comfort delightful, but I do): Yato taking his time to reassure Yukine, because of cause Yukine used to be a victim, too, even though he doesn't remember it. Yukine's open concern. Bishamonten's sympathetic yet not patronizing actions. The seriousness behind Yato's goofy humor. And so on. The characterization's spot-on, as usual, and the wording you've chosen to describe everything has this uncanny ability to pull directly at my heartstrings.

And oh god, when is Yukine going to realize that weirdly, Yato was the one comforting *him* seemingly for no reason? Which, of course, triggers another "Yato Flash Back to Yukine's Tragic Death"

Seriously one of my faves. I am unhealthily addicted to Yato angst, especially when someone is worried about him and he tries to play it off and his dumb f*cking father is being an abusive lil sh*t. So god bless you for the always amazing IN-CHARACTER yato angst because i appreciate the hell out of it. 3

Side note: I love Bishamon in your stories.
Also, I love that you understand the nuances within Nora’s character. They’re a lot more subtle than Yato and I definitely prefer him but I love how you portray her relationship with Yato and not as a clear cut villain or antagonist. Keep up the absolutely stunnin work my dude
