I enjoyed the chapter overall. I do wonder how you're going to deal with Phantom eventually. He'll either be killed or become one of V's familiars, he might also end up serving Urizen.

It's nice to see that Blake and V are getting along. I'm looking forward to seeing the two fight those Empusa demons.

I agree with you on not having V be paired with anyone. Putting aside the fact that he's technically middle-aged, V knowing that he has a short life span wouldn't exactly make him keen on romance.

RWBY's romantic relationships have never really been done well aside from Ren and Nora. That art contest definitely showed how there's a real problem with most of the RWBY fans.

At first I wasn't interested in a story with V as the protagonist but this story managed to win me over. The selling point are the reactions of the RWBY characters when they come face to face with the demons of DMC. Seeing the RWBY characters react to a world, powers, abilities and horrors that are beyond their understanding and perception of what is possible and impossible is shattered by beings that the grimm are just nothing compared to is just so fun to watch.

AND you are not having V be grounded in the Beacon school setting. A lot of writers just don't have the vision or creativity to try and have the inserted character set off around Remnant and have him take matters into his own hands and instead just have him become Ozpin's lap dog instead. Points for you for doing something different.

I care not for the rest of the Fandom but...
If any romance was to occur it's best if only it seems like it'd naturally work with the writing, otherwise it could be forcing the matter. As of now, V isn't looking good for pairings with anyone.

Glad to see this. My Devil May Cry craving kicked up again after I read the dmc5 manga for V - "Visions of V."
Give it a read sometime if you haven't seen it yourself yet too. Might help refine the character if you think you want extra material about V. He was quite a cold person.
