This was so sweet and earnest - the perfect amount of dread and anxiety injected into a scene we all know ends up ok in the books. Harry's additional thoughts, his dream, his desire to see for himself that yes, Ron was still alive really added weight to it. Loved it!

what a lovely story - I always feel Ron gets batched for no reason

I just went through all of these and could’ve SOBBED at how lovely they made me feel. I’m always really impressed when authors manage to nail the emotions so well with a young Harry (see chapter one) and honestly, just with Ron in general considering how much vitriol is thrown around about him sometimes. But these! These were poignant and tender and emotional in all of the right ways. I love this series of drabbles. Thank you for writing them.

This bit from the books is one of my very favorites for author's to take on. It was a spectacular moment for the cast of characters to remember Ron was always in danger too. Your panicky Harry seemed like a very reasonable response to this.

You did very well handling their emotions. This was character growth and did not read as ooc. Harry may make fumbling attempts, but he makes up for it by being earnest. Ron usually responds well t ok that. As for being just a Harry and Ron situation? I'm comfortable with that. At this poi t Hermoine was still being very cold with Ron, if I remember correctly.

Huh. It's interesting to imagine from Harry's point of view. How do you know what friends do if you dont have experience? How do you contend with friends having other friends? Bless Ron's oblivious self.

Very detailed and thorough take on this series of events. That whole locker bit in the book bothered me immensely. To read it out from Ron's PoV, yikes.

This is very relatable. Also very Ron. He is the protector and care giver and would run himself under a bus before declaring he was trying to do too much. Good on Harry for stepping in.

I've got two guesses about where the bottle came from and they are twins. Also, unrelated.

I very much enjoyed this. It would take some liquid courage to get these two to openly chat. It was an interesting and open view from both perspectives. Protective Ron is also my favorite Ron.
