Just read your profile, with the mental connection to ‘Tom’ do you mean Tom the Horcrux in her head or Tom, Lord Voldemort? Cause if it’s a direct connection to Voldemort and she thinks it’s just a horcrux... SQEEEEEEEAAAAL!* ...OMG that’d explain how he ignored her! I mean in the movies wasn’t there a connection between Harry and V because of the soul piece or is Voldemort ‘aware’ of this connection, he’s got to at least get some of their mental activities!

Also I would love some other POVs even if it’s a short and you put it in the other book at a later date, like I’m super curious to ‘Tom’s’ train of thought and Quirll’s and other characters (I admit I’m A sucker)

I wonder what Snape will say, I have a feeling she will like (if not already) Snape, and did she work on her oclumincy or is ‘Tom’ helping her with that, will Snape get to see into her mind and ... will she open up to him and will he be dumbles pet. He’ll probably hate Harry.

Why is Harry so pregidous? Did dumbles put compelling charms on him? Is she the heir or can Harry steal that from her?

I would love to see scenes between her, Draco, and Narcissa. What does Lucy say? Has she seen the diary yet? Or will she take it 2nd year to protect it and would ‘Tom’ approve cause that’d be a funny conversation. Imagine Diary trying to get into her mind only to be met with oldest Tom.

Will Nagani still be a horcrux? Will Dahlia help reserve the Tom as an ally vs an enemy (I’d be great full if it was an ally)?

If she can speak parseltounge will she go to the chamber 1st year and gain Voldemort’s interest (I’m sure he remembers her though) it’ll be funny if she watches Quirrell.

Will she yell at Sirius and Remus for not believing her when she was a baby or just be upset?

Dementors... will they bring back horrible memories from her previous life and Tom finds out that way?

Enduring years more of child abuse while the MC does nothing is not fun to read.

When Dahlia gets to Hogwarts I would like too see her work on her own, or at least make friends with some non-canon characters. Depending what house she is in, I would find it kinda boring if she was to simply be another member of the golden trio, or of Malfoys group. Canon characters in general all seem to be used the same in fanfics.

She is mentally older than the other kids at the school. I see lots of fics where a SI acts way too much like a kid.
And with Tom in her head I would think she would have picked up some of his traits, like being a sneaky snek. I would love to see a fic where the MC, instead of always being in the middle of things, works more from the background, making use of their knowledge while not wedging themselves into the middle of the plot.

Idea I had for a way in which the plot could go:
Instead of either just following along with the philosopher's stone thing she goes and grabs it right after it has been put in the mirror and replaces it with a fake. Things could go really differently from here. Like, she could use the stone to give Scar!Tom a body, and then Tom plays the role of a student who transferred to the school and acts as her friend. The body could be about her age, and this way she isn't alone in being the only one who is mentally older than their body. While I wouldn't be interested in a romance between the two, I would like to see Tom act like a brother to her. This could develop nicely. And as it is never specified how the PS would give someone a body, you could make it interesting, like Dahlia give some of her DNA making Tom her actual brother in a way. This could be small, like his eye colour changing to Dahlias and neither really noticing.
I would just find the idea interesting. I would imagine any changes would make it so he still looks like himself but enough so no one notices (like Dumbledore). As brown hair is a common colour and since he would choose a different name playing the role of a transfer student.

Question for Dahlia (Well, more of a 'what would you do in this situation?): You come across someone that was also reborn into the Harry Potter world. Problem, they are invisible to all but you and can not interact with anything when in sight of other sentient beings. What do you do?

Question 2 for Dahlia: You dun goofed and get turned into a werewolf. Whatcha do now?

WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT. I had just an idea. Know how in the first chapter, before she dies, her sister, Samantha, is mentioned? What if THEY also got reborn, but as a animal, BUT the animal is the cat Dahlia got! It could start as something like Dahlia naming the cat Sammy or something after her 'lost' sister, then the cat displaying unusual intelligence and then things could go from there.

I liked the chapter altogether. I would, however, be careful about cliches. The Gringotts thing is all quite cliche, so you don't want to add too many more on top of that. I would recommend changing the snake to a non-magical one. In fanfics magical snakes always seem like a scape route so that the owner doesn't actually have to take care of the snake.
The magical world altogether doesn't seem that keen on snakes, so I would doubt they would have that many snakes in a normal pet shop.
Snakes also are mainly seen in the Harry Potter world as a source of venom or parts for potions (outside of the Basilisk and Nagini).
A fun idea to work with that would make the snake much more unique would be this:
After finding the cat in the pet store, Dahlia could still want a snake so she goes and looks around for one. She finds building in the Alley that milks venom from snakes, magical and non-magical, that isn't against selling a few snakes. However, as venomous snakes are rather dangerous, they only sell too experiences owners. The owner of the shop however was shipped a non-venomous snake that was mistaken for a cobra. This way, you explore more of the wizarding world besides the one pet shop that is seen while also giving a more interesting story line. The snake can be any false-cobra snake, though I would recommend the False Water Cobra. (They look awesome)
Snakes are not as intelligent animal as cats or dogs, and even with parseltounge they probably wouldn't be smart enough to have that interesting conversations. I found in an article about Falsies the line 'One of the most rewarding aspects of keeping false water cobras is interacting with these incredibly intelligent, responsive snakes'. Having a snake that is stated to be rather intelligent can mean you can realistically (well, as realistic as 'realistic' is in a world of magic) have the snake know more and act smarter than how a snake would probably act if you were able to talk to it.
Also, even something like a python would be rather cliche. There are so many species of snakes but in fanfics all you usually see are pythons and other commonly known snakes.
