I love this! The moment Elliot tells Olivia that Kathy is pregnant had such an impact on her and on us, and I loved reading about what would have happened if she hadn't once again chosen to bury everything she felt and pretend it was nothing. I felt everything so deeply as you described her heartbreak, her realization that it wasn't just a slow burn between them, it was just never going to happen (or at least that's how she read it). I always love seeing a jealous Elliot, but I'm glad he also admitted that he was worried about her. I love their confrontation, how he finally tells her how he feels, how she ends up surrendering to him... This was beautifully done! Thanks for sharing it!

You are sooo good at writing E/O stories, i coud read them all day long. My opinion is that during season 8 they realized that the two characters were really too close, they need a reason for Elliot to come back home and they came up with a pregnancy. I think they simply couldn't handle a divorced Elliot and a single Olivia.

All the feels! I’m glad that you wrote it in this way - that Olivia put herself first for once and Elliot was the one who needed to wake himself up and go through the learning curve to try to fix things. My favorite part was actually the moment that they each tried to cut the cord. I empathized with Liv so much there - the bravado falling away once the door shut and reality struck - but also because Elliot honestly tries to do a selfless thing by walking away... but pssht, we all know that doesn’t work with these two.
