Oooh I do like this turn of events. It almost feels like a different story, but that’s ok. I especially like how you described Aramis’ ptsd and porthos’ indignation over dying for money.

This chapter moved very quickly... I liked the personal conflicts that led to athos’ decision to dry out. The last few paragraphs were far more general than your typical style... I can see that you wanted to wrap up this plot point and move on to other ideas. Looking forward to the next chapter!

*sniff* Athos and Aramis friendship is the most beautiful thing. And that silly "don't befriend me musketeer", look at you now! I loved yhe conversation between them! And that he convinced Aramis to stay there with them, where he belongs! This was one of my favorite stories yet :)
