| Mahi-Mahi chapter 1 . 4/17 Dear Author, I've had this logged in my favorites since November '19 and kept putting off my review. Given the quarantine status of the world right now, I really had no excuse not to go back and give my proper review...since, honestly, this story deserves one. As a long time reader on this site, I haven't stumbled across something quite as extraordinary as this story in years. It pulled me in instantly. From the first picture you painted, the heat wave, the city and the setting, I was hooked. Your other stories are works of their own that are a joy to read, but this stood out amongst all others. For the first time in a long time, I felt I was reading something that was truly original, but appropriately laced with flavor from the franchise that inspired it. It felt very 1990's Danny Glover Predator, but heavily injected with some proper Blade Runner overtones. The world you paint comes to life and pulls you in. Your flow and grammar are above simple fan fiction and the characters made me invested. CityHunter has given me something I can read time and time again; a proper PREDATOR fan fiction. It didn't feel forced or out of the realm of the Predator universe. As the reader, I didn't have to stretch my imagination to make it to fit the Yautja narrative. It just flowed. All around, I experienced nothing but good vibes from start to finish. In closing, I look forward to your next release. |
