To quote a line that I used in one of my own stories, that I believe really suits this scene: "If you [apologize], then you regret your actions! And that would make all of this worthless." This line just kept playing over and over in my head as I was reading the chapter.

That random bit aside...gosh...what an ending to a great fic! Steve coming back and expressing his grief and sorrows/regrets after fighting off Tony (one of his best friends) is a million times better than the mere letter that he wrote to Tony at the end of the movie. Though, my only wish is that there's an extra chapter/scene where Steve and Tony do reconcile a bit in this story because I feel like here, they ended on a much harsher note. Idk, it's just a thought.

Final thoughts: Loved this story! You did a fantastic job rewriting the movie to make it your own. Well done!

Wow...this...is just...I think you've definitely improved Civil War with this piece so far, and somehow, you'd made the difficult situation they were in even more believable and difficult. Like, when it came to the original movie, I was definitely team Cap because Tony seemed so stubborn and unreasonable/unrealistic. With this, I was nearly rooting for Tony because now HE is the one that seems more reasonable (until the end). At least he was willing to compromise and help out in this situation in any way he can. But then there's also Cap and Nat and...Gah! I'm so conflicted now! Can't wait to see how this all ends.

Also, Spiderman is just the cutest thing ever!

I loved how you brought back their vows in this chapter.

Also...Vision! You ruined the moment, man. This mission better be worth it lol.
